The North Cliff Hotel stands in its own grounds and has some of the finest views of the North Devon coastline. It is situated in a peaceful position, some 500 feet above sea level on the well-known marine North Walk overlooking Lynmouth Bay and the beautiful Watersmeet Valley, and just a 200-metre walk to Lynton. With car parking facilities on the forecourt, The North Cliff Hotel is an ideal base for exploring Exmoor National Park, whether it is your annual holiday or off-season short break.

Local activities include walking, riding, tennis, and putting. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the coastline and Exmoor National Park. The road in front of the hotel forms part of the South West Coastal Path and the incredible Valley of the Rocks is a 2-mile walk. The famous water-powered Cliff Railway linking Lynton and Lynmouth passes within a few feet of the hotel and is accessed via the stepped garden.

Children of all ages are very welcome and if you like walking with your dog, they are most welcome as well.

After a day spent exploring Exmoor or the coast, you will be ready to relax and enjoy a drink on the terrace or at the bar and a home cooked meal in our restaurant, which has magnificent sea and coastal views. Our menu is extensive and we offer a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. All our dishes are home cooked and, where possible we source our ingredients locally. We are able to cater for special diets upon request. Why not end a perfect meal with a nightcap on our terrace overlooking Lynmouth Bay and Countisbury Hill.

The rooms at the North Cliff Hotel boast some of the best sea views in Lynton, bedrooms are individually decorated and are en-suite. In the decoration of the rooms we try to maintain the charm of the Victorian architecture of the hotel whilst providing modern luxuries that we feel our guests deserve. All bedrooms have colour television and hot drink making facilities.

We can accommodate family gatherings or walking parties as there are 7 doubles, 2 twins, 1 single and 4 family rooms (which can be used as twins or doubles).
